Bring our FREE Diabetes HealthCheck Program directly to your business, church, or community gathering place! Hosting a screening event is a great way to promote health and wellness in your community by providing valuable services to your members, employees, or visitors. Screening events can be open to the public or only to a specific group of people associated with the host organization.

Event Requirements for Host Sites:

Before scheduling your screening event, please ensure your site can accommodate the following:

  • Indoor Space: An accessible indoor area that allows for privacy and is comfortable for participants to complete a questionnaire and receive brief health education.

  • Screening and Waiting Areas: A flat, accessible, and clutter-free space that can comfortably accommodate up to 25 people, including seating for participants and ensuring ease of access for individuals with disabilities.

  • Power Source: A nearby electrical outlet to support our screening equipment.

What to Expect During the Screening Event:

  • Free Screening and Education: Participants will complete a brief health questionnaire and receive an on-site hemoglobin A1c test to assess their risk of diabetes. The screening event is completely free of charge to the host organization and to screening participants.

  • Personalized Education: Our screening staff will provide brief education on diabetes prevention and healthy living based on each participant's results.

  • Confidential and Supportive Environment: All screenings and conversations are conducted confidentially to ensure participants feel comfortable and supported.
